Distribution Responsibilities

In order to sell and service direct customers in your area, you will need to purchase a minimum of 6 pallets of pet food(s) ($12K +) Shipped freight collect, we will credit you additional product towards your freight cost on your following shipment. 6 pallets have a space requirement of at least 8' x 13'

The Individual distributor is responsible for proper storage. Cold storage may be required in such cases we will gladly assist you in setting up an inexpensive cold storage room. In many cases a simple shed with insulation and a window airconditioner is a very cheap way to store large quantities of product.

Focusing on repeat business is the area where you can build your business the fastest and most efficiently. Repeat business is based on customer satisfaction and can provide reliable income for you based on your efforts.

Minimum equipment requirements

Internet enabled computer (high speed suggested)

Microsoft office 2000 or newer (Word, Excel, Outlook or equivalent)

Mobile phone with text messaging-call forwarding

Storage room/shed (cold storage room/shed)

Moving dolly/hand truck

Delivery vehicle (Lettered painted van ideal)

Responsibilities include:

Product knowledge-expected to acquire in depth product knowledge and remain current

Credit card processing-Maintain your own merchant services account to charge direct customers (PayPal suggested)

Customer service-Responsive to customer calls and emails

Reporting-Regular reporting intervals of sales data and customer issues

Shipping-Maintain a shipping account coordinated with our facility to insure timely product shipments. This includes shipping label entry and shipment verification.

Delivery-maintain delivery schedules current and pre-booked plans

Marketing-An intratrical part of building your business are your marketing efforts. This is a vast area which not only includes getting sales sheets out and other forms of advertising, but also how you handle transaction support. You will need to make contacts with your direct customer a prospect at dog shows, dog parks, friends neighbors, even people just walking their dogs etc.

Paperwork-As an independent business person running your own company, you will be responsible for all of your own licenses, permits, registrations up to and including as relates to the products you are selling. Within 60 days of getting started you will be required to submit copies of your business license, state tax ID. As well as your federal EIN (Employer Federal Identification Number) and product registrations with the state department of agriculture.
